How it works
The pump draws water from the skimmers and the main drain, pushes it through the filter and returns it through the jets. Jets face the skimmers so the surface drifts towards them, carrying leaves, dust and sun cream.
Each skimmer has a basket for larger debris and a weir flap. You empty the basket by hand, usually once a week.

Where it suits
Gardens, holiday homes and family houses where you want a pool that asks little of you. It needs no balance tank, so the plant room is smaller and the first fill uses less water.
It also suits windy spots: the lower water level keeps ripples inside the pool.
How many skimmers, and where
A practical rule is one skimmer for about every 25 m² of water surface, always on the side the prevailing wind blows towards. An 8 × 4 m pool gets two. The skimmer bolts onto a panel before the liner goes in, and the liner is cut around it with a sealing flange.
Coping and surround
Because the water sits lower, the coping shows. It can be marble, stone, tile or timber. More in deck and surround.
